Rubble to Mountain Project

Following the Beirut port explosion on August 4, 2020, this large-scale initiative was launched to clean affected areas and use the construction and demolition waste for environmental restoration. The waste was used to rehabilitate quarried mountains for reforestation and to create public furniture (benches, bins, planters) using ROGP technology.

Development Inc.'s Scope

Development Inc.’s scope was to clean the areas affected by the explosion and manage the reuse of the resulting construction and demolition waste. This management included using the waste for both land rehabilitation projects and for the production of new public furniture from collected glass and plastics.
