Turning Waste into Opportunity
Founded in 2018 in Beirut, Development Inc. began with a bold belief: waste is not an end — it is a beginning. What started with reverse vending machines quickly became Lebanon’s largest recovery network, partnering with Nestlé Waters, Diageo, and UN-Habitat to make recycling a community opportunity.
After the 2020 Beirut Port explosion, our Rubble to Mountains Project transformed 100,000 tons of debris into construction material — a powerful symbol of resilience.
By 2021, we expanded regionally: Dubai became our HQ, Jordan’s Bottle Recovery Project shaped its EPR framework, and Egypt advanced education and glass recovery through AUC and HEPCA. We also launched our patented ROGP Technology and FieldEye® platform, revolutionizing waste monitoring.
Today, through Dev Inc. for Recyclables Trading in Dubai, we’re embedding circular economy principles across the UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt — building a sustainable future and a culture of circularity for the Middle East.
Mission
Having established operations in Beirut, Lebanon, Development Inc. dynamically adapted its collection operations, transformation techniques, and its manufacturing facilities to the ever changing needs of clients across the region. This has enabled us to research, pilot and introduce new innovative solutions that meet our customers’ needs.

2018
Partnered with Nestlé Waters and Diageo for nationwide glass and plastic recovery in Lebanon
2019
Expanded to the UAE with the establishment of Development Inc. International FZCO in Dubai as regional HQ; launched Rubble to Mountains Project; led UNDP-supported RVM deployment in Iran; partnered with PepsiCo for PET recovery.
2020
Founded the Regional Alliance for Sustainability (22 countries) with UN-Habitat, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Diageo, IBI Group.
2021
Established Development Inc. Jordan; launched the Jordan Bottle Recovery Project with 150+ partners, government ministries, and corporations.
2022
Started the Earth Project with UN-Habitat & Coca-Cola; launched Waste to Resource Project with Cesvi.
2023
Advanced ROGP R&D with EBRD & AUB; strategic partnership with TOMRA in Egypt, Lebanon, UAE, and Jordan.
2024
Established Dev Inc. for Recyclables Trading, a Dubai mainland company for UAE project management and trading.
